"I bring a wealth of operational and hands-on experience in startups, with a focus on product growth, pricing, and commercialization."

What inspires you about venture capital?

Working in VC has always been my aspiration as it offers the rare opportunity to be at the forefront of discovering and investing in new ideas and products to address pressing challenges of our time. Also, it enables me to shape the future and make a meaningful impact in areas where my expertise and interests lie.

Which investment categories excite you most and why?

As someone who is passionate about climate technology and digital health, I understand their importance in a sustainable future. Both sectors have a great impact on society and every investment in them now holds big potentials for our future. Having grown up in Germany and now living in the UK, I have had the opportunity to observe myriad opportunities, particularly in digital health, to improve the efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services.

What strengths do you bring to the companies you partner with?

I bring a wealth of operational and hands-on experience. Not only from founding my own startup, but more importantly, from working in various stages of venture-backed startups, from seed to Series D, with a focus on product growth, pricing, and commercialization.

In another life, if you weren’t in venture capital, what would you be?

I would have loved to become a chef because of the creativity involved in cooking dishes. For a passionate chef, work never gets boring as the culinary world offers infinite possibilities to combine different ingredients and flavours.

What is your favourite podcast?

My favourite podcast is the German podcast Lanz & Precht. In this podcast, TV host Markus Lanz and German philosopher Richard David Precht talk about a variety of philosophical questions, e.g. how do humans change in times of artificial intelligence? The podcast opens up new perspectives and ideas, which is why I always enjoy listening to it.

It’s a Saturday afternoon, where can we find you and what are you up to?

It’s important for me to relax on the weekend, which is why you can usually find me in nature on a hike or with friends on Northcote Road in South London having a nice breakfast or lunch.
