"I am fortunate to have incubated and scaled two corporate ventures in SEA, so I am familiar with the challenges and issues faced by early-stage startups."

What strengths do you bring to companies you partner with?

I have had the privilege of advising large multinational corporations in Asia, North America, and Europe on strategic issues during my time as a consultant and banker. I am also fortunate to have incubated and scaled two corporate ventures in SEA, so I am familiar with the challenges and issues faced by early-stage startups. These learnings, best practices, and contacts are available to our partners.

Which investment categories excite you most and why?

As a FinTech and Web3 enthusiast, I’m excited about decentralized Finance (DeFi) as an emerging investment category. I’m amazed by the new and innovative ways we can access financial services, and by how DeFi applications leverage blockchain technology to provide transparent, secure, and accessible financial services - making it a disruptive force in traditional finance.

In another life, if you weren’t in venture capital, what would you be?

When I was younger, I wanted to be a dancer. Unfortunately, that was too much for my tiger parents to stomach. I later learned that I lack rhythm and 'swagger,’ so that dream quickly ended.

Fun Fact about yourself?

I am Chinese by blood, Peruvian by birth and British by citizenship. I love a good ceviche and lomo saltado, so if you know any good Peruvian restaurants in SEA, HK, IN, or ANZ, do reach out.
